Do Facebook + Instagram ads even work?
It’s funny. I get asked this question all the time. The simple answer is yes, absolutely. As a matter of fact, with each passing year, the ad spend on Meta’s platforms (both Facebook + Instagram) continues to grow.
You can’t take likes + followers to the bank...
When it comes to my business, I’ve never really been that concerned about likes + followers. Sure, getting likes and followers can make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but at the end of the day, if the people who like your content and follow your account aren’t going to ever buy from you, what’s the point? Plus, it’s not like you can take likes and followers to the bank, you know what I mean?
Free content isn’t really free…
Ok, sure you can post it for free, but is it free if it’s taking up all of your creative energy and time? Coming up with the content, creating the content and then posting it is a time suck - especially if only a handful of people ever see it…
Organic content isn’t really working anymore…
If you started your online business 5-10 years ago, then you know that there was a time when you could just post good sh*t on social media and you could get a lot of traction. Unfortunately, that’s not the case these days. It’s really noisy online and it’s getting harder and harder to stand out.
You’ve tried all the marketing trends, and nothing seems to be working...
Trends are just that, trends. They come and go quickly. They’re fun to hop on when they start, but they are fleeting. And just because some trends work for some people, it doesn’t mean that they will work for everyone. I encourage you not to get too caught up.
Do I really need to post content everyday? Nope.
Ok. Here’s the deal. We’ve been made to believe that if we want to grow our business online, then we have to show up on social media everyday. I don’t know about you, but that isn’t a vibe for me. I don’t want to show up everyday and I don’t want to stress myself out trying to come up with fresh content and chase trends and all the things…
